This is a fictional project for a course I took in graphic design applied to illustration.
The goal was to create a pulp book cover, bringing elements and references that resembled that aesthetic.
For the project, I created this character, The Smoke-Man, who is a serial killer that attacks his victims using a red gas. I thought that the dark background with the red smoke would bring a good complementary color palette.
The typography of the cover is Creepster - Regular, with an adjustment I made to give it a
smoke-like movement.
